Secret Colours and Coliseum headline June’s Back Porch Sessions

Two weeks after playing a show at Zanzabar, Chicago rockers Secret Colours will return to Louisville to play the second installment of RYE’s Back Porch Sessions.

The show also features home town, noise-rock demigods Coliseum, according to a press release.

Coliseum is celebrating their 10th year as one of independent music’s most substantive bands and recently released their fourth full-length album “Sister Faith.”

The trio’s newest album is described as the most dynamic and immediately captivating of the band’s career, bristling with galvanizing melodies at the collision point between punk and noise-rock, according to the release.

The show will also feature Secret Colours, which blends 1960s psychedelia with 1990s Britpop.

The group is fresh off of a performance at Zanzabar, in Louisivlle, and is putting the final touches on its sophomore release “Peach” with producer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Gomez, Sage Francis, Iron & Wine).

In addition to the two groups set for Rye’s Back Porch Sessions, there will be one very special guest that Louisville will not want to miss, according to the release.

The will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13 in the parking lot of Rye, located at 900 E. Market St. in Louisville.
