Kentucky Derby Festival announces its musical lineup for Fest-a-Ville

LOUISVILLE– The Kentucky Derby Festival has announced its national concert lineup for Kroger’s Fest-A-Ville for the 2013 Derby Festival.

Pop-rock-country music star Uncle Kracker will kick off the festivities with the Sonic Saturday show on Saturday, April 27. Runners with a finisher’s medal from that day’s Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon/miniMarathon presented by Walmart and HumanaVitality will receive free entry into the venue.

The following day, April 28, family Sunday will feature a full slate of Christian music acts. The shows will begin at 5 p.m. featuring headliner Building 429 with Rhett Walker Band and Finding Favour.

R&B chart topper Cameo will perform on Tuesday, April 30, at the RhythmFest concert. Cameo is well known for their hit song “Word Up.”

On Wild Wednesday, May 1, The Features, along with special guest, Discount Guns, will take the stage beginning at 7 p.m.

Tune It Up Thursday on May 2 will feature The Wallflowers. This group is well known for chart-topping songs such as “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache” and “Everything I Need.” This concert will begin at 9 p.m.

All concerts will be held in Louisville’s Waterfront Park and admission is free with a 2013 Pegasus Pin. Food, drinks and pets are not permitted.

Saturday, April 27– Uncle Kracker 9 p.m.

Sunday, April 28– Christian contemporary concert featuring Rhett Walker Band, Finding Favour and Building 429 at 5 p.m.

Tuesday, April 30– Cameo 9 p.m.

Wednesday, May 1– The Features with special guest Discount Guns 7 p.m.

Thursday, May 2– The Wallflowers 9 p.m.

Friday, May 3– A big name in country music will headline The Kentucky Derby Festival Derby Eve Jam concert, scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront will open Thursday, April 25, and will run through Friday, May 3. It will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 1-11 p.m. Sundays.
