New disc, show for Louisville’s Joel Henderson

Louisville singer/songwriter Joel Henderson released a new album, “Locked Doors & Pretty Fences”  April 10.

A CD release show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at Uncle Slayton’s, 1017 East Broadway in Louisville. He and his band will also play 91.9 WFPK’s Live Lunch Friday as well.

The band for both Live Lunch and the release show will feature an all star line-up. Ric Hordinski (Over the Rhine, Daniel Martin Moore, Victoria Williams, etc.) is on guitar, Byron House (Robert Plant’s Band of Joy, Buddy Miller, Patti Griffin, etc.) is on bass, Heidi Gluck (Some Girls, The Pieces, etc.) is on guitar and other toys, Dan Dorff (Daniel Martin Moore, Jim James, etc.) is on drums and Bill Mallers (Carrie Newcomer) is on piano.

With the exception of Dorff, all the above are on the new album as well. Tickets for Friday’s show are $5. Live Lunch starts at noon.
