Trace Adkins, The Fray plan stops in Louisville

A few big concert announcements were made earlier this week: 

• Country music veteran Trace Adkins will perform at the Louisville Palace April 18. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday Feb. 3 and range between $39.50 and $75. They can be purchased at louisvillepalace.com, Ticketmaster outlets or by phone 1-800-745-3000.

The stop is a part of the Songs & Stories Tour, on which Adkins will visit many of America’s most beautiful theaters, a press release said. The performances will incorporate stories, both humorous and meaningful, that pay homage to Adkins’ roots and musical heritage.

• Pop rockers The Fray will perform at the Louisville Palace on April 24. Tickets will range between $34 and $44. Those go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3 and can be purchased at louisvillepalace.com, Ticketmaster outlets or by phone 1-800-745-3000.

The Fray, originally from Denver, Colo., formed in 2002 by schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King achieved success with the release of their debut album “How to Save a Life” in 2005. The band’s next album, “Scars & Stories,” is expected Feb. 7.
