Ryan Adams coming to Louisville in January

Alt-country star Ryan Adams will play the Louisville Palace Jan. 30. Tickets for the show, which range from $25 to $40, will go on sale at noon Friday.

Adams, from North Carolina, initially came to fame as a member of the group, Whiskeytown. As a solo artist his breakthrough was 2000’s “Heartbreaker,” a critically acclaimed effort that featured singles like “To Be Young (Is To Be Sad, Is To Be High.)” He’s released about a dozen albums since, some with the backing of the group The Cardinals. His most recent release, 2011’s “Ashes & Fire,” finds Adams revisiting introspective territory. Hoosier Hits’ review of the record can be found here.

Tickets for January’s show can be purchased at the Louisville Palace box office, louisvillepalace.com, ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-754-3000.
