Country singer Jason Jones to visit New Albany

Country newcomer Jason Jones is to visit New Albany next month.

Jones, signed to Warner Bros. Nashville, recently made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. Hailing from Wakulla Station, Florida, Jones is a songwriter, guitarist and singer with an alto-tenor voice. The label is heavily promoting his single, “Ferris Wheel.”

His influences include Diamond Rio, Vince Gill, George Strait, Bruce Springsteen and U2. His voice has drawn comparisons to Kenny Chesney and John Mellencamp.

The New Albany show is 7:30 p.m. Friday Nov. 17. at the Ogle Center, 4201 Grant Line Road, on the campus of Indiana University Southeast. Admission is $26.50.

Open one and one half hours prior to every performance and until intermission on show days.
