Heartless Bastards hitting Headliners Saturday

It hasn’t been long since the Heartless Bastards last graced a stage in the region.
The Austin, Texas four-piece played Headliners in February, just before the release of their latest full-length album “Arrow.”
“Arrow” marked singer-songwriter Erika Wennerstrom reuniting in the studio with drummer Dave Colvin and bassist Jesse Ebagh. The trio then added guitarist Mark Nathan to round out their sound.
The group is still touring on their February release and the audience should expect the live show to be reflective of what is heard on the album.
“It’s a pretty stripped-down album in a lot of ways,” said Wennerstrom. “There’s really not a lot added to these tracks, they’re really mostly live takes. We talked about adding things, but when we listened back, we thought, ‘I don’t know if this really needs more.’”
The garage rockers will play Saturday at Headliners Music Hall, 1386 Lexington Road in Louisville, with Frank Smith.
Frank Smith is a Boston transplant also based out of Austin with an alt-country rock sound.
The doors for the show open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m.
